British super-middleweight title from arch-rival James DeGale at London's O2 Arena

DAVID HAYE has support George Groves to won a world title to follow their footsteps.

Groves upset the odds on Saturday night to claim the British super-middleweight title from arch-rival James DeGale at London's O2 Arena.

The Saint majority points decision with their Commonwealth crown in domestic Strip and Haye believes that young Londoner it is set to top.

WBA world heavyweight champ Haye said: "George proved a lot of people wrong, but his performance was no surprise to me or his trainer Adam Booth.

"We've always believed George has the style, intelligence and ability to get the better of DeGale — and that's what played out at the weekend.

"George boxed beautifully at times and was giving DeGale problems he had yet to encounter as a professional or amateur."
